Donald Trump recently weighed in on the SDNY’s RICO case against Diddy, revealing he’d possibly “look” into pardoning him if found guilty.
“First, I’d [have] [to] look at what’s happening,” the President tells a reporter during a recent press conference. Trump reveals despite the trial against Diddy being highly publicized, he hadn’t been following up with the case. The former Apprentice host also addressed his estranged relationship with the disgraced mogul. According to him, after he gained an interest in politics their relationship changed.
“I haven’t spoken to him in years,” he said. “He used to really like me a lot, but I think when I ran for politics, it busted up that relationship from what I read.” Despite that, President Donald Trump said he would look at the “facts” involved and make a decision based on that.
“If I think someone was mistreated, whether they like me or don’t like me it wouldn’t have any impact on me.” In September 2024, Diddy was arrested for racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Suge Knight Predicts Trump Will Pardon Diddy
Donald Trump’s recent comments coincidently follow a recent interview with Suge Knight where he discussed the possibility of Diddy being pardoned. In a special episode of Laura Coates Live: Diddy on Trial, the former Death Row Records boss spoke to CNN’s Laura Coates from federal prison in San Diego, where he shared his perspective on the federal sex trafficking and racketeering case against his former rival.
Despite a long and bitter history with Combs, Knight expressed an unexpected sense of empathy. “I mean, anytime somebody is fighting for their life and they have kids, you still got to show some type of, you know, sympathy for them,” Knight said. “He might have allegedly did a lot of things but I don’t want to see the children locked up, you know.”
