Cardi B appears to be unfazed by any possible babymomma drama surrounding her boyfriend and soon-to-be baby daddy Stefon Diggs. Earlier this week, a paternity suit was filed against Diggs by model and influencer Aileen Lopera. During a recent IG live stream, as Cardi B cooked and talked with fans in the comments, she began playfully singing a mashup of her track, “Hello,” and “Woman to Woman” by Shirley Brown. The latter is an infamous track about a woman confronting her husband’s mistress. “Hello Barbara, it’s me, Shirley,” the rapper said. “Yep, it’s me! If that’s yo babydaddy, then that’s my babydaddy too, girl.” She added, “‘Well, what now?’ I don’t f*cking know, we’ll figure it out bitch. In December 2024, Lopera, who goes by Lord Gisselle on social media, filed the petition to establish parental rights before the child’s birth. Lopera would eventually give birth to a baby girl in April 2025. Per the suit, in July, Diggs responded to the petition with uncertainty about being the child’s biological father. That said, the NFL player did request a paternity test. An accompanying stipulation was signed, ordering both parties to comply with the test. However, the filings do not reveal if the testing has been completed or if results have been returned. The project earned a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) only mere hours after the album dropped. Am I The Drama? has even broken a Guinness World Record after becoming the most delivered product by UAV drones in one hour. Earlier this week, Cardi B sat down with Gayle King for CBS Mornings to reveal that she and the NFL player are expecting their first child. “I’m having a baby with my boyfriend Stefon Diggs,” she told King. She added, “I’ve been putting in all this work, but I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby.” Cardi B is already the mother of three children, whom she shares with her estranged husband, Offset: Kulture, Wave, and Blossom. Diggs has a daughter named Nova, who was born in October 2016, with whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend, Tyler-Marie.
Doja Cat Is ‘Proud’ And ‘Excited’ Of The Music She Makes Now
Doja Cat recently sat down with CBS News Sunday Morning to discuss her forthcoming album, Vie. The project is a follow-up to her 2023 project, Scarlet, and is set to release on Friday, Sept.26. Despite multiple Grammy awards and hit singles, Doja Cat reveals there were many moments when she doubted herself. However, that is no longer the case. “I’m very proud of the music I’m making now,” Doja Cat tells CBS host Michelle Miller. “I’m very excited because it’s things I wasn’t able to do before.” The “Say So” rapper noted that she hadn’t been able to “hit certain riffs or runs” in the past. However, with some time and hard work, she’s seen a significant change. She added, “I used to joke about that….I used to pretend to [sing]. And then I just sucked it up and stopped joking so much and took myself more seriously.” In July, Doja Cat announced that her forthcoming fifth studio album, Vie. The singer-rapper hopped on Instagram to share the exciting announcement with fans, writing, “Je sais que tu es ma vie Vie out 9/26.” The French phrase translates to “I know you are my life.” Doja Cat Refers To ‘Scarlet’ Album As A ‘Massive Fart’ Doja Cat seemingly launched into pop superstardom with her projects like Hot Pink (2019) and Planet Her (2021). However, the rapper-singer felt her skills as an MC were being doubted and decided to drop off Scarlet in 2023. According to Doja Cat, the project was almost like a “massive fart” she needed to release. “Not to diminish it, but it was a bit of like, I just need to get this out,” the rapper tells the New York Times. Doja continued: “I thought fixing that would entail making music that was more visceral or more emotional or maybe more angry or more sad. And I enjoyed performing it onstage, but it didn’t get me all the way there.” That said, these days, the rapper reveals to the outlet that she’s ready to “return” to what she knows.
Interscope Haults D4vd’s Deluxe Album Amid Murder Investigation
According to reports, Interscope Records is shelving singer d4vd’s deluxe album, Withered, and has halted all promotional material. Earlier this month, it was reported that the singer had been linked to an LAPD investigation into a missing 15-year-old girl, Celeste Rivas, who was found butchered in a Tesla vehicle registered in his name. On Friday (Sept.19), sources close to the situation confirmed with TMZ that Interscope’s parent company, Universal Music Group, has hit the pause button on all promotional materials set to accompany the deluxe release of Withered, which dropped back in April — the project was slated to release on Sept.19. (Photo by Josh Brasted/FilmMagic) Investigators Depart D4vd’s Home With Computers and Evidence Bags Earlier this week, officers executed a search at a Hollywood Hills residence. This action has drawn significant attention amid the ongoing inquiry. Authorities reportedly confiscated a computer and several unidentified items over the course of several hours. However, investigators have not confirmed any direct link between the property, the car, or d4vd himself. The car was abandoned for two weeks at a Hollywood tow yard. Rivas, reported missing since April 2024, reportedly had a boyfriend named David—speculated to be d4vd. As the investigation developed, d4vd canceled his scheduled performance in Seattle, originally set for the day of the search. TMZ sources reported that the artist had traveled to Los Angeles earlier that day. Resurfaced tweets, leaked music, and social media speculation have added layers to the story, complicating his ongoing collaborative projects. Kali Uchis, for example, announced she would step away from a joint effort with d4vd, citing uncertainty surrounding the case. Amid these developments, allegations of grooming and inappropriate contact have surfaced. This intensifies scrutiny. d4vd has remained largely silent, aside from brief statements from his representatives and limited fan interactions.
Arrest Made In Connection To Theft Of Beyoncé’s Hard Drives
Earlier this week, Atlanta’s Live 5 News reported that after a nearly two-month investigation, an arrest has been made in connection with the theft of Beyoncé’s hard drives. According to police officials, the alleged thief, Kelvin Evans, had been serving time in jail regarding a parole violation. Since being linked with the alleged theft, Evans now faces a charge of entering an automobile with intent to commit theft, Live 5 reports. Back in July, a choreographer and dancer for Beyoncé revealed that a rental car they were using had been broken into. An incident report taken by police confirmed that inside the vehicles were at least five jump drives. These drives contained “watermarked music, some unreleased music, footage plans for the show, and past and future set lists.” INDIO, CA – APRIL 14: Beyonce Knowles performs onstage during 2018 Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival Weekend 1 at the Empire Polo Field on April 14, 2018 in Indio, California. (Photo by Kevin Winter/Getty Images for Coachella) Surveillance Video Caught The Vehicle Used To Commit The Crime, According To The Incident Report A pair of AirPods, a MacBook Pro, and two suitcases had also been taken, according to the report. The incident report also contains a description of the vehicle — a 2025 Hyundai Elantra with Georgia plates. Security cameras in the parking garage also captured the incident. The next day, the vehicle’s owner was later contacted by police. They revealed they were renting the car out to “help pay bills,” the report said. Not long after, the police quickly tracked down the vehicle and eventually found the driver. A woman told police she’d picked up the Elantra from her mother, who’d rented the car from the owner. The woman would later be taken into custody for marijuana possession. She would also tell police that Evans, who happens to be her uncle, had asked her to pick him up. He reportedly told her that he needed to use the car to go to a “friend’s house.” Upon his return, the vehicle had four black bags inside it. Evans’ niece said he told her to meet him at her aunt’s apartment to drop off the bags. Evans, his niece, and a small child were later caught on surveillance cameras removing bags from the car. He returned to the car later that night and put a black bag in the trunk. Then he left on a bicycle.
Cardi B’s ‘Am I the Drama?’ Rockets to Platinum Hours After Release
Cardi B’s new album, Am I The Drama?, arrived with enormous expectations. It immediately delivered, earning platinum status on the day of its release. The certification reflects not only her commercial pull but also the anticipation built on the breakout success of earlier singles like “Up” and “WAP.” Tracks such as “Bodega Baddie” have already caught the attention of fans. Moreover, the record’s instant milestone points to a broader reach that extends well beyond individual favorites. The speed of the certification also highlights the shifting ways the music industry measures success. In a landscape dominated by streaming, the relevance of first-week sales continues to be debated. While some dismiss it as outdated, others defend it as a barometer of cultural influence. What is clear is that Cardi’s return has reignited conversation. This is about her standing in hip-hop and the scale of her audience. Whether the album’s staying power matches its opening impact will be tested in the weeks ahead. A Return to Rivalries The release also drew attention for revisiting an old feud. In a recent interview, Cardi addressed pointed lines aimed at BIA in her track “Pretty & Petty.” “You mentioned my kids trying to be cute. She did her little diss and it was trash… I felt inclined to address it. This is because everything on social media will eventually be visible to my children. When they grow up and see that BIA mentioned them, they’ll naturally want to know how I responded.” Her remarks underscored a determination to respond directly when family is drawn into public sparring. This stance reflects both her protectiveness and her candor as an artist. With Am I The Drama?, Cardi B has reaffirmed her ability to command both attention and momentum in a crowded field. Hip-hop has long thrived on rivalry, spectacle, and cultural debate. Her album contributes to that tradition while securing a milestone few artists achieve so quickly. For now, its platinum debut cements Cardi’s place at the center of the conversation. This is a reminder of her ability to blend commercial dominance with unflinching authenticity. Drake to Team With IShowSpeed on Much-Anticipated Toronto Stream
Anticipation is running high over the newly announced collaboration between Drake, one of hip-hop’s most influential figures, and IShowSpeed. The internet personality’s high-energy livestreams have made him a digital fixture. Their back-and-forth exchanges online have already pulled in millions. Moreover, the promise of a joint stream has become a point of fascination across both music and gaming circles. The partnership highlights a friendship that has quietly developed over the past few years. On a recent stream, IShowSpeed revealed plans for the two to go live together in Toronto. However, no date has been set. Even without specifics, the news spread quickly across social media. “This is going to be very interesting to see,” one fan commented. Another added simply, “LET’S GO!”—capturing the enthusiasm that has fueled the announcement. For many followers, the stream feels like a long-requested pairing. In 2023, Drake gave a glimpse into their rapport by posting behind-the-scenes clips from his “You Broke My Heart” video. IShowSpeed jumped into the comments with a tongue-in-cheek question: “How do I get b*tches like u?” Drake, with characteristic humor, shot back, “Stop barking at them off the rip; maybe just say something nice.” The exchange revealed both Drake’s dry wit and the eccentric energy that defines IShowSpeed’s appeal. Building Toward ICEMAN The livestream comes as Drake prepares his ninth studio album, ICEMAN. No release date has been confirmed. Early previews—including “Dog House” featuring Yeat and Julia Wolf, and “Which One” with Central Cee—have already sparked conversation. Speculation intensified when a leaked track, “National Treasure” with Pressa, began circulating online. Reports suggest it may ultimately be left off the project. The leak only deepened the sense of intrigue surrounding the album. The upcoming stream promises to blend music, humor, and the unpredictable energy of live internet culture. For fans, it’s a rare opportunity to watch the chemistry between two vastly different but equally influential figures play out in real time. As Drake builds toward another chapter in his career, the collaboration underscores how seamlessly he continues to bridge the worlds of music and digital entertainment. Young Thug is set to make another mark on hip-hop with his fourth studio album, UY Scuti, now slated for September 26. Originally scheduled for release today, September 19, the rollout was postponed out of respect for fellow artist Cardi B. She is debuting her own project, Am I The Drama? Acknowledging the delay on Twitter, Young Thug wrote, “Y’all know I wasn’t dropping Friday. It’s a ladies day do yo s**t @iamcardib.” Cardi B responded in kind, offering encouragement: “And you better step next week …you got this, you know this!!” The exchange underscored a rare moment of mutual support in a genre often characterized by competition. Cam’ron Targets Dame Dash in New Freestyle Amid Lawsuit
This month, 50 Cent announced he had secured the rights to the iconic film Paid In Full, with plans to adapt it into a premium television series in collaboration with Cam’ron. The announcement has reignited a longstanding rivalry between Cam’ron and Dame Dash, co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records, now spilling into the courtroom. Dame Dash has filed a high-profile lawsuit against Cam’ron, seeking $300 million in damages, alleging a series of defamatory remarks he claims have harmed his business interests. In an Instagram post, Dash laid out his grievances: “I never hustled with @mr_camron; he’s a civilian. However, he’s meddling with my family office and causing discomfort for my wife and two sons.” He stressed his preference for legal resolution, adding, “I would never advocate violence, and I don’t wish harm upon those who care about me.” Dash concluded with a pointed note to the courts: “The courts will have to make a determination, as we conduct ourselves as businessmen,” while cryptically referencing potential property disputes. Cam’ron and Dash Escalate Feud Amid 50 Cent’s Latest Move Cam’ron responded swiftly, releasing the song When I See You alongside a music video that takes jabs at Dash, including playful references to his dental issues. The track underscores the heightened tension following 50 Cent’s announcement, with Cam’ron inviting collaborators to connect with him while 50 Cent is abroad. Fans familiar with Godfather of Harlem have expressed enthusiasm for the proposed adaptation. Dash retaliated publicly, targeting both 50 Cent and Cam’ron after learning of the project. Cam’ron later clarified that he had previously offered Dash a show on Revolt, provided he would serve as executive producer—a stipulation that reportedly triggered Dash’s backlash. The dispute underscores the complex interplay of artistry, personal relationships, and business in the hip-hop world. As legal proceedings move forward, industry observers and fans alike are watching closely, anticipating not only the outcome for the parties involved but also how this feud may shape broader cultural narratives within hip-hop and its enduring legacy.
21 Savage Seemingly Confirms Relationship With Latto: ‘I Fell In Love W/ The Cheetah Print’
Rumors surrounding 21 Savage and Latto’s alleged romance have heated up once again, thanks to a new lyric that fans are convinced is a not-so-subtle nod to the Atlanta rapper. On Hunxho’s newly released track “If Only” (Sept. 19), 21 Savage delivers a line that instantly caught listeners’ attention: “Ain’t no pullin’ out, she told me keep it in / I done fell in love with the cheetah print.” For many, the “cheetah print” reference felt like a direct connection to Latto, who has long embraced the bold pattern as part of her style, branding, and even merchandise. The lyric quickly ignited social media chatter, with fans speculating that 21 was finally hinting at the romance that has been rumored between the two stars for years. View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom) 21 Savage and Latto have been the subject of relationship rumors since 2020. The whispers only grew louder after the pair were reportedly spotted vacationing together, though neither artist has publicly confirmed anything. Latto has also been careful to keep her private life out of the spotlight, often dodging direct questions about who she’s dating. While fans see 21’s “cheetah print” bar as a wink toward Latto, neither he nor Latto has addressed the speculation head-on. For now, the buzz remains based on interpretation rather than confirmation. Still, the line adds fresh fuel to ongoing gossip about the two Atlanta heavyweights being more than just friends.
Kid Cudi Threatens Legal Action Over Drake-Ye Album Rumors
Kid Cudi is making it clear he had no part in blocking a potential Drake and Kanye West album. The Ohio-born rapper went on Instagram Stories on Thursday, September 18th, to address statements made by Consequence, who accused him of derailing the collaboration and even connecting him to West’s 2016 breakdown. “The other day rapper Consequence made some allegations that were extremely false. The things he said were pretty f—king disturbing,” Cudi said at the start of his video. He went on to stress, “Let me be clear: I had nothing to do with Kanye not doing that collab album with Drake. And I damn sure had nothing to do with him being hospitalized and going to the psych ward.” Moreover, Cudi argued that Ye has always made his own decisions, shutting down the idea that he could have convinced him to cancel such a big project. “Kanye gon’ do whatever Kanye wanna do. What I look like being like, ‘Yo, I don’t want you to do this album.’ And him being like, ‘OK.’ Yeah, right, in what universe?” He also shared that legal measures are already underway, revealing that his team served Consequence with a cease-and-desist letter. Cudi demanded the claims be pulled back immediately. “We sent a cease-and-desist, told him to take it down and retract his statement … I need to get a retracted statement tomorrow,” he warned. “Saying that is extremely false and if not, you’ll be hearing from my lawyer, period. I’ma hit you in them pockets. That little bit of change you got gonna be mine. Keep f—ing with me, s—t is not a game.” Although Consequence deleted his initial remarks, he reposted Cudi’s response with a sarcastic caption, hinting at “receipts” to back up his story. Drake and Ye teased a joint album in 2017, rumored to be titled Calabasas Is the New Abu Dhabi, but they never followed through with the project.
