Diddy allegedly made a male escort urinate in Cassie Ventura’s mouth during one of his “freak-offs”, according to prosecutors. Opening statements in Combs‘ trial officially began on Monday, May 12. While describing one of the “freak-offs”, assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson says Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ allegedly told the escort to urinate in Ventura’s mouth, after which she said she “felt like she was choking.” Johnson also claims that Diddy physically abused, and exploited Cassie throughout their 11-year relationship. Describing one incident in particular, Johnson says Diddy became angry after finding out Cassie may have been romantically involved with another man. “Furious he set out to find her. He said he would kill the man,” Johnson told the court. Johnson claims Diddy broke into the man’s home but could not find him. She says Diddy then found Cassie and “brutally” beat her, saying he kicked her in the back and tossed her around “like a rag doll.”

When I left for the NBA, I thought basketball would be my whole story. But life had other plans. I found myself drawn to other passions. … I was more than just an athlete. And so are you, more than just your major. You don’t have to fit in a box.” “You can have multiple careers, you can change directions, you can evolve again and again as long as you keep chasing what sets your soul on fire,” Anthony said. Concluding his speech, he spoke of his son, Kiyan, who will begin his career at Syracuse next season. “My son is now a student at Syracuse,” Anthony said/. “Watching him walk the same walls, wear the same colors is one of the proudest moments of my life. “It’s not just about following in my footsteps. It’s about watching him create his own story. That’s the power of family. That’s the power of legacy. And it reminds me that the seeds you plant today can grow far beyond what you’ve ever imagined.”

It makes me so upset to think about it. Mase Responds To Paul Pierce’s Comments On Interracial Dating
Mase could not stop laughing after hearing Paul Pierce explain why Black NBA players prefer to date white women. During the latest episode of It Is What It Is, he revealed that his wife could hear the conversation, saying, “When she’s gone, I’ll be talking again.” Cam’ron noted that Mase’s behavior is evidence that Pierce was on to something with his results. “So basically, what’s going on is, Mase’s wife is my sister, [Maurice Clarett] Mo’s wife is my sister, ’cause I love my brothers’ wives, everything, but this what Paul Pierce was talking about. Look at them n*ggs,” Cam laughed. “Don’t be tough for me, Murda,” Cam continued. “Keep it–don’t be tough for me. Don’t do it for me. You better calm the fuck down, and don’t be tough for me.” The silence was loud pic.twitter.com/NcQNyZkVw7 — Treasure Wilson (@treasurewilsxn) May 12, 2025 After the laughter from Cam and Treasure Wilson aka “Stat Baby” died down, Mase offered some careful words, still aware that his wife could be listening his every single word. “When it comes to women, I think women kinda act the way a man allows them to act, if I can say that? Yeah, that’s exactly what I believe,” he said. “I believe there’s some women that’ll act the way you need ’em to act. And, if you get them, it’s the terms that you get ’em on, right? “Maybe Paul just chose the wrong Black women,” Maurice Clarett added. “Or maybe his approach with women is a little bit different. I don’t know how he handle women, or how he lets women handle him.” In a recent episode of his podcast “The Truth After Dark With Paul and Azar,” Piece explained why white women are often chosen by Black men in the NBA. “I honestly think that maybe they appreciate maybe more, and they apologize more,” Pierce laughed. “They don’t mind being held accountable!”
Tina Knowles Talks Family, Motherhood, and ‘Matriarch’ With Michelle Obama
Earlier this week, Tina Knowles sat with Michelle Obama for a special live episode of her IMO podcast to discuss the journey of creating her new memoir, Matriarch, her family’s history, and what motherhood means to her. Despite her fierceness, Tina Knowles reveals to the former first lady she had second thoughts about the reception of her memoir, Matriarch. Knowles is famously known as the mother of Beyoncé and Solange Knowles. “It was scary,” she says. However, she feels it was important to learn about her family’s roots so she could pass their stories on to her children. Knowles also touched on things that she learned about motherhood from her mother. “I took the good from my mom, which was so many great things, but I also learned from the things that I felt like [sic] she didn’t do such a great job on, and that [sic] was to protect my children. ” I would speak up…I would fight with people,” Knowles recalls. (Photo by Shannon Finney/Getty Images) Knowles, who could be referred to as the “ultimate” matriarch of the entertainment industry makes it clear she has no problem speaking up for her children: ” I would speak up…I would fight with people,” Knowles recalls. “… I remember having to go and fight with the light people…the music people…” Knowles adds, “…Here I was this country woman from Texas with this big hair and this thick, thick [sic] accent and people didn’t really [sic] respect me…I wasn’t aggressive…I wasn’t loud…and I protected them.” In 2015, Beyoncé talked to Entertainment Tonight about how Tina Knowles “led by example.” The multi-hyphenate recalls thinking her mother was “so fly.” The singer added, “She had her own business and I admired her so much [sic]. So I just always wanna [sic] make her proud. And now she makes me proud every day. Check out the full interview below.
Lizzo Doesn’t Want Friends, Says Fame Makes People ‘Weird’
Lizzo recently opened up about why she’s had trouble making friends since breaking into the industry in a new interview with comedian and host Ziwe. “I used to have so many friends, but when you get famous, it gets really [sic] weird [sic],” the Grammy winner says. “Everyone makes it weird for famous people.” Lizzo continued, “I’m still a normal person…You’re still you. Everything around you changes. It’s heartbreaking.” According to Lizzo, there’s a difference between being rich and being [sic] famous. “Rich and famous are not the same thing… if you’re an artist, do your art, but don’t just be famous. You can’t leave. It never ends.” YouTube.com/Ziwe Lizzo Calls The Bible Is A ‘Historical Document,’ Fans Erupt Lizzo is no stranger to standing on her opinions, which recently landed her in hot water. According to the singer, the Bible is a “historical document.” During a spontaneous Q&A, a fan asked about her faith. Lizzo responded candidly: “The Bible is a historical document, but it’s lacking factual accuracy in many ways.” Her words spread quickly, stirring both admiration and outrage across the internet. Lizzo clarified that she sees the Bible not as a literal account, but as a collection of stories and moral lessons. To her, it offers spiritual insight, not empirical truth. The Bible’s significance extends far beyond the church. Its influence permeates Western law, literature, and ethics. Composed over centuries in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, its content ranges from myth to moral code. While many believers view it as divinely inspired, scholars continue to debate its historical veracity. Lizzo’s view, though divisive, echoes the scholarly tension between faith and fact. Her words didn’t emerge in isolation—they reflect a broader generational shift. Across music and media, young artists are reimagining their relationship with religion. Kanye West’s Yeezus II tour fuses gospel with spectacle. Kendrick Lamar’s GNX album mines Christian symbolism while questioning power and redemption.

Ras Baraka Released After Being Arrest During Visit To NJ ICE Facility
After being arrested earlier on Friday (May 9) while conducting a congressional visit to a NJ ICE facility, Mayor Ras Baraka of Newark has been released from custody. According to NBC New York, Baraka was released shortly after 8 p.m. He stepped out of an SUV and addressed his concerned supporters: “The reality is this: I didn’t do anything wrong,” Baraka said. Alina Habba, the current interim U.S. attorney for New Jersey, said Baraka “committed trespass and ignored multiple warnings from Homeland Security Investigations to remove himself from the ICE detention center.” “He has willingly chosen to disregard the law. That will not stand in this state. He has been taken into custody,” Habba posted on X (formerly Twitter). View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Philadelphia Inquirer (@phillyinquirer) Leading up to his arrest, Baraka visited the facility to protest the prison being reopened. According to Baraka, the detention center is not operating legally without the proper permits. Three members of New Jersey’s congressional delegation, Reps. Robert Menendez, LaMonica McIver, and Bonnie Watson Coleman acompnanied him. “We’re at Delaney Hall, an ICE prison in Newark that opened without permission from the city & in violation of local ordinances,” Rep. Coleman wrote in a post on X. “The agents started intimidating and putting their hands on the congresswomen. There was yelling and pushing,” Martinez added. “Then the officers swarmed Baraka. They threw one of the organizers to the ground. They put Baraka in handcuffs and put him in an unmarked car.” The Department of Homeland Security issued a statement claiming that the lawmakers were not granted permission to visit the facility, and as a bus carrying detainees was entering the facility, “a group of protestors, including two members of the U.S. House of Representatives, stormed the gate and broke into the detention facility.” Watson Coleman said the DHS statement was not a truthful one. “Contrary to a press statement put out by DHS, we did not ‘storm’ the detention center,” she wrote. “The author of that press release was so unfamiliar with the facts on the ground that they didn’t even correctly count the number of Representatives present. We were exercising our legal oversight function as we have done at the Elizabeth Detention Center without incident.” Baraka, a Democrat, is currently running to succeed Gov. Phil Murphy, whose term ends in November.
Shaquille O’Neal’s ‘Power Moves’ Chronicles The Return Of Reebok
Don’t call it a comeback: Reebok has been here for years. Shaquille O’Neal’s Jersey Legends is set to release Power Moves, a new six-episode docuseries featuring the return to prominence of the footwear and apparel brand Reebok. The series will be available for streaming across the globe on Netflix on June 4. According to Deadline, Power Moves “offers an all-access look at O’Neal’s latest and boldest endeavor — stepping into the role of President of Reebok Basketball and leading the iconic brand’s comeback alongside Vice President and fellow NBA legend Allen Iverson.” Filmed in Boston at Reebok’s headquarters and across the country, the docuseries chronicles Reebok’s cultural revival under O’Neal and Iverson’s leadership. Additionally, Power Moves docuseries captures the signing of WNBA star Angel Reese to Reebok’s first NIL deal following O’Neal’s appointment and the creation of new initiatives that will draw in young athletes and impact communities. In a statement, O’Neal shared more details about the series. “Power Moves isn’t just about sneakers or titles. It’s about showing the work behind building something meaningful. This series shows the strategy, setbacks, and wins of what it really takes to lead a brand you love,” O’Neal said. “Reebok gave me my start, and now I get to help write its next chapter.” “There’s a powerful shift happening at Reebok right now, and Power Moves lets the world experience it with us,” said the company’s CEO, Todd Krinsky. “This isn’t just a comeback, it’s a cultural movement, fueled by purpose, passion, and the kind of leadership that inspires real change. Jersey Legends saw that spark and knew this was the moment to capture. What Shaq, Allen, and our team are building is electric, and this series brings viewers inside the heart of it, as it happens.” Beginning his relationship with Reebok in 1992, O’Neal signed a lucrative deal with the brand just before his rookie NBA season with the Orlando Magic. Before O’Neal and Iverson joined the leadership team of the company, Reebok experienced a steep decline that lasted almost two decades. Things for Reebok changed in 2005 when Adidas acquired Reebok for $3.8 billion, but the brand never rebounded. In 2021, Adidas sold Reebok to Authentic Brands Group, which had a reputation for turning around legacy brands.
