T-Pain and Ne-Yo will battle it out to see who has the most gaming skills. The Global Gaming League announced today its first season of year-round competitions titled SZN Zero. Teams compete in popular game titles ranging from Call of Duty and Rocket League to Tetris and Street Fighter. On August 23rd will feature T-Pain’s team Nappy Boy Grizzlies against Ne-Yo and his Gentleman’s Gaming Team – finally facing off after months of social media trash talk and rivalry about who’s better at Tekken.   In a statement, T-Pain, GGL’s Director of Strategy, spoke about how the gaming industry is taking off. “Gaming is just as important as music or any other sport, to me,” said T-Pain. “Ne-Yo had some words for me on socials, I heard enough of what he had to say and felt it was time to show him that I actually do this. But honestly, I’m just ready to have some fun with my friend, because, bottom line, that’s what gaming is all about. Beyoncé is facing unexpected criticism after her latest campaign with Levi’s, with conservative commentator Megyn Kelly calling out her appearance and comparing it to Sydney Sweeney’s recent American Eagle ad. Kelly took to social media to weigh in on a new photo of Beyoncé, claiming the superstar looked overly polished and unnatural. “This is the opposite of the Sydney Sweeney ad,” she wrote. “Quite clearly there is nothing natural about Beyoncé. Jon Favreau of Pod Save America responded to her tweet, saying, “I’d bet most normal people think both ads are just companies trying to sell products by featuring famous, beautiful women. But there are also these people.” Kelly fired back by accusing him of twisting the narrative and claimed it was not conservatives who started the debate. “Typical leftist dishonesty. Acting like conservatives started this fight and how petty we are to be commenting on a woman in a jeans ad. Now what got us here again?” Meanwhile, the American Eagle ad featuring Sydney Sweeney has already stirred controversy of its own. Some critics have accused the campaign of using coded language and imagery that promotes outdated ideologies. The slogan “great genes” paired with her blonde hair and blue eyes led to backlash online. The drama even reached political circles when former President Donald Trump praised the ad on Truth Social, calling it the “HOTTEST” out there and applauding Sweeney as a registered Republican. American Eagle responded in a statement saying, “’Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans’ is and always was about the jeans. Her jeans. Her story,” while reinforcing its message of confidence and inclusivity.

Claressa Shields addresses Papoose breakup rumors. Eve recently revealed a list of women rappers who she believes have long careers in the industry.  During an interview with the Joe and Jada podcast, the Ruff Ryders legend shared her of some women rappers that she thinks have “sustainability” in the game. “I think there are some, I don’t think it’s going to be a lot,” Eve said. “I think Doechii will be there, I think Cardi has made her way…I love GloRilla, I think Glo will be there. Latto‘s dope.” She also noted that there’s a lot of “crap” in the rap world, but she has a deep affection for have favorites. In another interview with Complex’s Jordan Rose, she thanked Nicki Minaj, recognizing her as a “trendsetter”  “Once she responded, I was like, I was supposed to do that,” Eve said of including the tidbit in her book. “And I’m so happy that that happened because it’s one of those things in life, no matter what line of work you’re in, no matter what you do, we’re always in our heads so much thinking that someone else is thinking about you in some way. And everybody’s in their own bubble. “And if you sometimes just come together and have a conversation, you’ll see that, ‘Oh, man, we was feeling the same way,’” she continued. “We could have had dope conversations on set instead of just tiptoeing around each other or whatever.”

Keke Palmer will never forget the first time she met Eddie Murphy, who left a major impression on her. Speaking with PEOPLE, Palmer revealed that she had been close with Murphy’s daughters but never met the comedy legend. “I had never met their dad, so they were like, ‘Yo, you want to come to our dad’s for dinner?’ ” Palmer said. “And I’m like, ‘I forgot for five seconds that your daddy is Eddie freaking Murphy. Comedy legend Katt Williams will bring his hilarious commentary to the PGA Tour for the second straight year. The comedy legend will be an on-course correspondent at the PGA Tour Live event at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis. Williams will team up with ESPN analyst Michael Collins. The two previously worked together at the 2024 Tour Championship. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Williams explained why his handicap is 19. “OK, so I had to establish a handicap when I tore my rotator cuff. So, I came in as a 19 handicap, but I shoot low 80s,” Williams said. “You certainly don’t want to bet me! I know it won’t be that when I get ready to do it again. Eighty-three is a good and gettable score for me all across the country at excellent courses.” Along with his love of the sport, Williams sees golf as a metaphor for everyday life. “The thing that I like about golf is that it permeates so many different parts of your life,” Williams said. “It’s not like it fixes everything, but it gives you a new parameter for things. The first four holes not going to your liking? It has the ability to ruin the day, but it [doesn’t have to]. You can fix this front nine, you see? And level this front nine out to where you can still have a good 18.” Williams will take the mic on Thursday, Aug. 7 and Friday, Aug. 8, at 9 a.m. ET for the first postseason event of the 2025 FedExCup Playoffs. Jim Jones may be heading to the podcast world. Jeezy nearly missed his Baltimore show, but one dedicated Uber driver made sure the night went on. On August 4th, the rapper posted the full story to Instagram, describing how a series of setbacks turned into a 10-hour road trip that ended just minutes before he hit the stage. Stuck without a way to travel by air, Jeezy and his team decided to drive. A couple of hours into the trip, though, they hit a major obstacle. “We hit an object on the highway, puncturing the gas tank and causing fuel to leak everywhere,” Jeezy wrote. The team pulled into a small gas station in South Carolina to figure out their next move. Attempts to secure a private jet were unsuccessful due to weather, leaving them with few options. That’s when they booked an Uber to reach a rental car location. Enter Tanner, the driver who would go far beyond what anyone expected. “I assured him that whatever it was, he’d have it,” Jeezy said. “Like real one, he didn’t hesitate and just kept driving.” Tanner drove Jeezy all the way to Baltimore, logging ten hours on the road and pulling up just ten minutes before the concert was set to begin. Jeezy made it to the stage, and the show went on as planned. To show his appreciation, Jeezy invited Tanner backstage and gave him a Snowman tee. “Shout out to the real MVP, my Uber driver Tanner! Not all heroes wear capes!” he said during the concert while sharing the story with the crowd. What started as a travel nightmare turned into a memory that Jeezy and his fans won’t forget.

Mathew Knowles isn’t holding back when it comes to the recent break-in that resulted in Beyoncé’s unreleased material being stolen. While speaking on The Don Lemon Show on August 1st, the former Destiny’s Child manager addressed the July 8th incident where choreographer Christopher Grant’s rented Jeep Wagoneer was broken into in Atlanta. Grant’s vehicle contained more than just personal belongings. According to reports, thieves took hard drives with unreleased Beyoncé music, show layouts, past and upcoming set lists, clothing, luggage, and high-end headphones. The Atlanta Police Department is investigating and has already questioned at least one individual. Knowles questioned why a choreographer would be in possession of such sensitive material in the first place. “The choreographer had better be glad that I’m not still managing her cause he would be in hot water,” he told Lemon. “First of all, why did he have a hard drive with all her music as a choreographer? And if he did have it, why didn’t he secure it? You never ever would leave anything like that in a car.” Though he admitted he only knows what’s been made public, Knowles made it clear he would have handled things differently if he were still involved in Beyoncé’s career. He also reflected on the moment during Beyoncé’s June 28 concert in Houston when a prop vehicle malfunctioned mid-performance. The equipment tilted at an awkward angle, forcing the singer to stop the show briefly. “Beyoncé’s such a professional and her team is so professional. Nobody panicked, and she told them with a stern voice to let her down. They realized they were wrong. They handled it very, very well,” Knowles said, showing full confidence in his daughter’s ability to stay calm and in control on stage.
